Home loans / Self-employed
Your income has a story.
We start there.
Running a business rarely looks like receiving the same payslip every fortnight. Explore home loan pathways that consider your circumstances and the income records available for the selected product.
Understand the pathsWhat matters before the product name?
Tell us whether you are buying, investing or refinancing, how the business earns income, and which records are available. Those facts help identify a suitable product conversation. Product eligibility and accepted evidence are checked against current policy and individual credit assessment.
Two ways to start the income conversation
These are documentation approaches, not promises of approval. Requirements differ by the product selected.
Full Doc — standard evidence
Start with the standard financial and income documents required for the selected product. The product checklist determines what is needed for your business structure.
Alt Doc — alternative evidence
Where an eligible product permits it, a different set of income evidence may be considered. Alt Doc still requires income verification and credit assessment.
Clear answers, before you apply
Does self-employed mean I need an Alt Doc loan?
No. The right documentation path depends on the records you have and the requirements of the selected product. Start by checking whether a Full Doc path fits.
Is Alt Doc the same as no income verification?
No. Alternative documents are still used to assess income. The accepted evidence and assessment method must be confirmed under current product policy.
Can I start without knowing the right product?
Yes. Choose your loan purpose first and describe your income and available records. So Money can then review the relevant product path; an application remains subject to credit assessment.
